Hi to everyone.
I'm trying to use Salome-meca, and I start with a very simple case: a circular section beam, with length of 1000 mm and diameter of 50 mm.
That beam was completely locked at one end, and have a force of 1000 N in the other end.
The material is steel, with E = 200000 MPa and v=0.3.
I have calculate manually the maximum bending, and it is 5.43 mm.
Then I modelled that beam on salome, setting the measure units on mm. I mesh it, and I start a study on code aster.
I know that in code aster the measure unit is consistent, then if I use mm for the geometry, Newton for the force, MPa for Young modulus, I must have displacement in mm.
Attached there is the image of what I've done, and I don't find correct the results. Why?
Can anyone help me?
