Solid shell elements in Code Aster

I just wanted to know when will the new non-linear solid shell elements be introduced in the latest release of Code Aster which I have waiting for some time.

Hello,

The old version of SHB required special behaviors with the assumption of the plane constraints

This is not the case for the new version of the solid shell elements available in version 15.3

These elements are also usable in large deformations (DEFORMATION = 'GDEF_LOG')

To use them from HEXA8 only:

1 / Modify the mailalge by CREA_MAILLAGE / COQUE_SOLIDE

2 / AFFE_MODELE / MODELING / COQUE_SOLIDE

A version with PENTA6 will soon be available

Hello everyone,

for a current project I am interested in the solid shell elements COQUE_SOLIDE. During my research I came across this post.

I have the following questions:

1) Even after searching for a longer time I had a hard time finding a test case or forum posts about COQUE_SOLIDE that would help me build my first model. Can any of you tell me a suitable test case?

2) I am working on a project where the first step involves a forming process (plasticity, large deformations, non-linear contact). In the second step we have to determine the buckling load and in the third step we have to examine the post-buckling. Due to the geometric conditions I have to rely on shell elements. I feel that COQUE_SOLIDE is more suitable than COQUE_3D. Do any of you have experience with COQUE_SOLIDE and can confirm or not confirm this assessment?
