[SOLVED] Liaison_CYCL

Hello,

I am trying to calculate a fan that I cutted in 11 parts (number of blades) and I want to use cyclique symmetry function to carry out the calculation.

The problem is I got an error during the calculation :

It make no sense to me because I don't use LIAISON_MAIL.

If someone can help me ?

hello,

the message means that a GROUP of master elements (GROUP_MA_MAIT*) must contain volume elements if the model is 3D

(respectively must contain 2D elements if the model is 2D)

With other words: a master group must contain elements of the same dimension as the model is.

This behaviour is the same in LIAISON_CYCL and LIAISON_MAIL.

So you do not glue (nodes of) face to a face but (nodes of) face to a volume, this might surprise but is fully correct.

can anyone explain or give simple example of LIAISON_CYCL?

When I want to simulate cyclic symmetry, LIAISON_MAIL with ANGL_NAUT works, so why use LIAISON_CYCL?

sdll133b does not make any sense to me, since the groups DROI_X80, GOCH_NO0 are not in the mesh. Why the are 2 inputs and 2 masters?
