Problem with the installation and configuration of SalomeMeca (2023) on Linux

Hi everyone !

I followed the installation of SalomeMeca on Linux according to the tutorial provided at this link :

Installation. The software seems to run correctly but only in "software rendering mode", but the software files are not installed on my PC. As a result, I don't have access to the folders that store the .comm and .med files.

My goal is to be able to manually create .comm and .med files, and then run them in SalomeMeca for ease of use. How can I fix this problem to get a fully acces to the folders ?

I thought ASTK could be an alternative to this. I tried to open ASTK through SalomeMeca, but it doesn't launch. I don't receive any specific error message, just no response at all.

However, I couldn't find any information regarding the version of Code_Aster included. Is it still version 15.4 (as used in SalomeMeca 2021)?

Singularity should have full access to your home folder. I'm running v2022 on Debian 10 through WSL2, Singularity 4.0 under Windows 11. I'm able to access all the files on Debian or Windows.
I'm also able to run Salome_Meca and ASTK. I used ASTK maybe two or three times to create export file. I haven't been using AsterStudy for a while now.
If you installed it under Linux, it should work better than in in my case. My installation crashes from time to time.

BTW, v2020 was the most stable version for me. Singularity made it simple to distribute, but more difficult to install and use for average people, I think. As for the Ubuntu 22.04, there's an issue with GlibC version. There were many posts with workarounds, search through the forum.

Update : I find a solution. I installed Salome_meca 2020, with a virutal box ubuntu 20.04 (CAUTION : Didn't work with ubuntu 22.04). I followed this video which shows the installation and debugging (same on 2020 version).
