As we said in the past, if it works for you, good stuff.
You are diverting tho.... it's enough linear mats with diff E values, e.g. steel :: aluminium. And I'm never implying that you are doing anything wrong, just giving pointers as to why I need what I do when I post stuff.
It's all application dependant, and good eng. judgement.
