I am new user of Code Aster. I tried to learn part of Code Aster (which is relevant for my analysis) by going through tutorials, verification manuals, and testing validation cases. I managed to solve my case study.
My case study is an extension of verification study FORMA06 (v3.02.112) in Code Aster reference. I am performing growth of the multiple crack in a 2D plate under tension. I implemented SIMPLEXE method of XFEM in PROPA_FISS command. I was able to propagate both internal cracks successfully. I can see that the simulation completed and calculated successive crack lengths for all steps requested. I am trying to post-process my results and I am facing some difficulties.
Is it possible to extract the coordinates of crack tips at every growth step? If possible, how can I do that?
In my case study, I am propagating the cracks by specifying a crack extension inside PROPA_FISS command and computing the number of cycles. Is it possible to compute the crack extension for a given number of cycles? I saw that in January 2012 a similar question is answered by mentioning that this feature will be available in few months. I couldn't find anything under PROPA_FISS command reference for the same.
Is it possible to export the number of cycles and crack sizes into an external file?
Please see the comm files and message files for the cases mentioned. I am also uploading the MED file used in my case study of growth of the multiple crack in a 2D plate under tension.
I am running my simulations in Windows with the latest update of SALOME MECA and Code Aster for Windows.
