Hi,
I'm interested in using Code Aster for shell buckling of composite structures (wind turbine blades). I've tried using composite ply definition, but it is very slow so I changed to pre-calculating the composite ABD matrix and using DKT with ELAS_COQUE material with no through-thickness shear coefficients. However, it seems in my application that a thick shell formulation is important (which for ELAS_COQUE is only supported for DST, which does not support buckling).
My next approach is to try a quadratic mesh and COQUE_3D modelisation, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use COQUE_3D and ELAS_COQUE with thick shell inputs together. Can anyone save me some time and say if this will work? Any help will be much appreciated!
