How to Set Boundary Conditions

I want to perform an analysis to check the stress that occurs when a steel bar (10 mm × 10 mm × 100 mm) with both ends fixed is cooled from 30°C to -50°C. However, even though I believe I have fixed both ends, when I view the displacement using “Warp by Vector” of ParaViS, the bar appears to shift in position and deform abnormally. If anyone knows the cause, please let me know. I’m a beginner, so I would really appreciate a clear and detailed explanation.Incidentally, I use the windows version of Salome Meca 9.10.0.

Check scale of deformation first.

I noticed there was not vector for displacement as shown in the attached.
However I set DEPL in NOM_CHAM.
Why displacement vector is not shown?

I found the solution.
DEPL was displayed in ParaViS when the name of CALC_CHAMP matched with the name of MECA_STATIQUE.
If you know why these name must be same, please tell me that.

That 'name' is like a holder for the results. If you 'reuse' it from solve --> post processing then it all gets added to the same 'pile' with the same name with all results you requested in the .comm file, that is then used in the final write to the MED file for Paraview (Paravis) to have all results in.

By default MECA_STATIQUE will write the disps, then you add later more results in CALC_CHAMP to the same 'name'. It's like a collector.
