Automating AsterStudy with Python scripts on Windows

Hello everyone,

first of all, a big thank you to the developers of AsterStudy – it looks very promising.

Regarding its usage, is it possible to control AsterStudy using Python scripts on Windows?

More specifically, I would like to automatically load a .comm file and an .export file and then execute the simulation.

Hello,

You can simply use the run_aster utility for that purpose.

Alternatively, Asterstudy provides the Calculation class in python for defining a case with its i/o files (abstraction of the .export file) and has readily available methods for running and following up on the calculation progress.

I am currently trying to use the method you suggested, either with run_aster or with the AsterStudy Calculation class in Python on Windows.

My issue is that the calculation stops because the generated run parameters keep the default values for memory and time. I would like to know how I can modify these execution parameters before launching the calculation.

More precisely:

how can I override the memory limit and time limit programmatically?
is it possible to modify these values through the Calculation class?
In my case, the calculation stops because the default execution settings are too low.
