Since a couple of weeks or so, at least in Firefox, when writing a post in this forum the I'm not a robot window keeps on popping up. After the 3rd time it locks the post, and needs copy so far, and start all over after a paste.
It's becoming a real pain to use this forum, plus renaming of files, etc.

Has anyone else seen the same?

yes, I think we can thank the people posting dubious/scam advertising here for this. I'd prefer just to block whole countries on the inbound traffic instead, like I do on my own firewall. Granted, it is probably very difficult to get rid of the scammers and keep it nice for the real users. Another possibility would be to make the creating of a new account 'hard' (cooling off period, only one post per day and increase later etc, there are a bunch of strategies) and the posting of legitimated users pleasant. Other forums have ratings for the users, that is, the software tries to estimate if the user is real or dangerous,

.....and the current strategy doesn't seem to work....again we get a lot of spam.

Maybe forum admins should limit posts per day? In the first week one posting per day, then ramp up if the user writes stuff that has to do with SM/CA/FEA?

Yes, and also, no need to rename attachments to .txt? It's really hard to follow threads with files, they all appear as .txt ones ....

Yes, and maybe also increase the space per message? The limit is now 1.xMB? I remember using Amiga 500 as a kid, which was fun, it used 1.44MB floppy disks. We are wayyy past those times.
