Salome_meca electro_thermo_mechanical Coupled simulation

Hi everyone, iam trying to create a modelisation of bimetallic strip used in circuit breakers with salome_meca, first i have to simulate the electro thermal model to have the joule's effect, after that i should use the electro-thermal temperture distibution output as an input for the thermo-mechanical model, with a transient model, can someone help me with the workflow required for this pls!!.

This is not possible in Salome_Meca/Code_Aster. It doesn't have any electrical simulation capabilities. You might be able to chain some different codes (maybe), but you can't do this purely in Saloma_Meca.

Dear Maro,

We are currently developping under the community requests at Simvia a brand new thermo-electric model for code_aster. It will be available and open source soon, once we fully checked.
It will involve:

A new thermo-electric element, introducing in addition of the temperature an electric potential degree of freedom
A modelisation including Seebeck and Peltier effects as well as Joules heating
The element will use code_aster solver THER_NON_LINE to compute the evolution of the electric potential and temperature.
Some new options for CALC_CHAMP, allowing to compute for instance the electric current density.
A brand new theoretical and user documentation detailing how to use it.

We will let you know here when the model will be available.
