Dear users,
I want to design a crib wall where the crib elements are made of Bambus balcooa, whose engineering properties are known. I am thinking to model the soil within the crib network as 3D and connect them to the bamboo modelled as beam (POUTRE) elements. I want to avoid contact elements and approximate the behaviour using LIAISON_DDL between beam nodes and soil nodes. To model the shear between orthogonal bamboo crib elements, I am thinking to use zerolength (Discrete) springs of representative stiffness in the three directions modelling the forces in vertical and two horizontal directions.
I am thinking to simulate sequential construction by using multiple models incorporating stresses etc. of earlier analyses through ETAT_INIT.
I would like to invite comments from the learned users about this proposed modelling strategy.
Kindly suggest.
Thank you in advance.
With best regards
