I am trying to model a crack opening using two different methods. When I try modelling my crack with XFEM, everything works just fine, my piece does not have any problems with DOFs.
But when I try to create a crack via DEFI_FOND_FISS, my AsterStudy case aborts due to some DOFs problems with the nodes in the upper crack lip. To create the crack lip, I used the feature Duplicate elements in SMESH. I duplicate the surface of the lip, without the nodes of the crack front and link them to the volume of my piece on top of the crack.
I must be doing something wrong here but can't figure out what, did some of you encountered any DOFs problems after trying to create crack lips ? If you have any ideas or any advices, feel free to reach me.
